The Vatican keeps inching closer to an admission that man is not alone as an intelligent species. This is a big step for a body that has declared otherwise in its Catechism and tried Galileo for heresy in the past for stating that the Earth went round the Sun.

Galileo Galilei came into conflict with the Catholic Church over his support of Copernican astronomy.  In 1616 the Inquisition declared heliocentrism to be formally heretical. The Roman Inquisition tried Galileo in 1633 and found him "gravely suspect of heresy", sentencing him to indefinite imprisonment. Galileo was kept under house arrest for the rest of his life.

With the reality of the alien presence becoming increasingly obvious, and half the populace giving the Call and becoming contactees, the church had to move forward or be faced with another Flat Earth embarrassment. The subject came up in 2009, during a conference, and on April 13, 2014 in statements by Pope Francis.

Though it may seem an unlikely location to happen upon a conference on astrobiology, the Vatican recently held a “study week” of over 30 astronomers, biologists, geologists and religious leaders to discuss the question of the existence of extraterrestrials. This follows the statement made last year by the Pope’s chief astronomer, Father Gabriel Funes, that the existence of extraterrestrials does not preclude a belief in God, and that it’s a question to be explored by the Catholic Church.

ZetaTalk Comment 4/19/2014: Pope Benedict, who resigned in March, 2013 did not personally make a statement about extra-terrestrial life. His chief astronomer was assigned to begin the process whereby the Catholic Church would back away from its prior stance, that man alone was made in God’s image and thus visiting aliens should be assumed to be demons. It was not so long ago that the Catholic Church tried Galileo as a heretic for his stance that the Earth was not flat. Given his personal predilection for rigidity and autocratic edicts, Benedict was not deemed up to the task of dealing with increasing disclosure about the pending passage of Nibiru and the reality of the alien presence.

Pope Francis is a different man, on many levels. Genuinely Service-to-Other in his orientation, preaching the Golden Rule and the importance of love and empathy in all aspects of interpersonal life, it is a natural reach for Pope Francis to begin to educate the Catholic flock on doing the same for the visitors. There are many Catholic challenges that remain. Some in the church will want to baptize the visitors, or press them to accept Jesus as their savior, which is of course an absurd posture.  The absurdity of this position will only drive more Catholics from the church, a trend that has been ongoing for decades.

While we are waiting for the church to even admit that intelligent life exists elsewhere, much less what form it might take, what kind of an educational process have the movies given mankind?  Wikipedia presents them as hominoids, and only as hominoids. The Star Trek series started in 1966, and aliens were presented as humans with odd ears and wrinkly foreheads. Star Wars followed in 1977 with a much more realistic array of aliens. But then, Lucas and Spielberg were Star Children, and knew what was out there. Was mankind being educated?

ZetaTalk Comment 7/15/1995: As we have mentioned, many authors and producers are aware of the alien presence, the approaching pole shift, and the expected polarization in spiritual orientations that occurs going into a Transformation. That Lucas should be among them should not be a surprise.

While we are being educated on the form an alien might take, there has been a war between those who would have mankind be afraid, very afraid, and those who would have mankind embrace the alien presence.  Spielberg and Lucas led with Close Encounters of the Third Kind in 1977 and ET in 1982, both movies which gave a realistic picture of government knowledge, the cover-up, and the benign nature, in general, of visitations. The Abyss, in 1989 even showed a compassionate alien that lived in the water.

The Abyss is a 1989 American science fiction-adventure film written and directed by James Cameron. Deep in the ocean, they encounter a new and mysterious species.

Unfortunately, for the past two decades, the trend has been to show aliens wanting to mass land and eat our brains, squirt poison in our faces, take over our minds and bodies via some kind of an infection, or insert remote control devices along our spines. These themes also have a long history, but emerged in force to influence Hollywood after MJ12 formed as a result of Roswell. In 1953 War of the Worlds hit the theaters showing a tentacled Martian, and in 1956 the Invasion of the Body Snatchers appeared.  The Alien movies emerging in 1979 took body snatching to a new level of horror with humans being used to incubate alien young. The movie Signs tried in 2002 to tie Crop Circles to an alien invasion by poison squirting aliens bent on a takeover of the planet.

ZetaTalk Insight 8/15/1995: How did all this misperception get started? These rumors suited those Earthlings who wished humans to keep all aliens at arms length. They have been fed, sparks fanned into flames by false stories, by those in the employ of certain establishment elites. The vast bulk of all information on aliens that is floated as truth, leaked by someone with credentials, verified by this or that person who should know, or found on old paper or in the files of someone now deceased - is concocted information. And where the vast majority of aliens contacting humans are in the Service-to-Other orientation, these false stories almost invariably describe aliens with the characteristics of the Service-to-Self.

Despite the massive negative PR campaign by the elite to dissuade mankind to be afraid, very afraid of the alien presence, fully half of the humans on Earth have now given the Call, and have willingly become contactees. So who is winning?

ZetaTalk Insight 2/4/2012: Have the number of contactees increased since 1998, when we last gave a count of 12,000? The numbers are now approaching a billion, to include almost every reincarnating soul sparked on Earth, and a number of humans who have not yet sparked a soul. We are not including in this count any Star Children, as they are technically not termed contactees but rather peers.

ZetaTalk Insight 8/3/2013: They are losing the PR campaign, losing the common man who is giving The Call in such numbers that fully half the population has already made contact.

Secession

There is nothing immutable about the boundaries of countries or states, as history shows. Genghis Khan’s empire ranged from China to Europe and the Roman Empire ruled the Mediterranean. Alexander the Great flexed his muscles all the way to India. The Spanish and Portuguese claimed most of North and South America at one point in recent history, and the southern states in the US tried to secede from the Union during the Civil War. Just because someone has the muscle and the might does not mean that claims against land and people is permanent, however.

Signs of secession can be seen in the US red states and in the Ukraine, at present. Encouraged by the Bundy grazing rights controversy, western states have increased their fussing over land management rights. In the Ukraine, fussing over alliances with either the EU or Russia appear to be heading toward a split of the country. Putin clearly is interested in the Crimea and eastern Ukraine, which as the Zetas have pointed out is with an eye toward dealing with the Aftertime flooding and consequent migration that will follow the Pole Shift. As history has shown, these types of disputes are nothing new.

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy has been in dispute with the Bureau of Land Management over grazing fees on federal lands. Because Bundy hasn't paid the fees for 20 years, federal authorities began to round up his cattle. The conservative media has been hyping the standoff.

How will such disputes morph as the Earth changes leading into the Pole Shift increase? They will become more common, and the key elements in the outcome will be the self-sufficiency of the rebels and the waning strength of the overlords.

ZetaTalk Insight 4/26/2014: The Bundy affair is only the start of what the US and other countries will find to be a plague of separatist movements as the Earth changes preceding the passage of Planet X increase, and as the reality of what the Pole Shift will mean to the populace is realized. Rebellion against centralized control is always just under the surface, held in check by a strong military presence and a dependence on the centralized distribution of goods. If the grain belt needs oil and the oil producing region needs gain, they are less likely to rebel.

Communities that are self-sufficient are thus a threat to centralized governments, and the Pole Shift will bring such communities into existence everywhere as to be less than self-sufficient means the community will not survive. If a fishing community can grow squash and tomatoes and produce electricity from hand crafted windmills, why do they need the tax collector? For every country, as the Earth changes disrupt distribution of goods and electric grids go down, there will be regions that grow increasingly resentful of centralized governments.

For the US, this can be viewed as at first cries for secession from the union for (for instance) Texas, and then within Texas for an insistence on independence for towns or counties, until government of any kind is disbanded and life returns to be like the days of the Wild West when the fastest gun ruled. If a polarizing of the orientations is ongoing, where the Service-to-Self prefer the company of others who are rule and control oriented and the Service-to-Other no longer tolerate the selfish demands of the Service-to-Self, then this decentralizing of government will likewise be ongoing during the Transformation.

How will ownership and availability of guns influence this anticipated Wild West culture, especially in the gun-happy USA. The red state of Georgia recently passed laws allowing a pistol packing populace to carry anywhere, including bars and churches. Certainly violence is not limited to those who own guns, but the damage that can be quickly inflicted is hard to match with other weaponry. If guns allow dissent against an overlord, they also allow an implosion from within.

One of the most permissive state gun laws in the nation, it will allow licensed owners to carry firearms into more public places than at any time in the past century, including churches, bars and government buildings that don't have security checkpoints. The law also authorizes school districts to appoint staffers to carry firearms. It allows churches to "opt-in" if they want to allow weapons. Bars could already “opt-in” to allow weapons, but under the new law they must opt out if they want to bar weapons.

ZetaTalk Insight 4/26/2014: Guns represent security to the insecure, and as tensions rise during the Earth changes and societal changes preceding the Pole Shift, this trend among the insecure to arm everyone will only increase. The statistical fact that a person is more likely to be shot by a member of their own household than by an outsider is dismissed by these people, as their insecurity is the only voice they hear. If a school shooting takes out little children at school, then the answer is for more guns at school, which of course only increases the chances of another school shooting as now guns are more readily available. Trying to reason with this type of insecurity is fruitless.

Factor in the degree of Post Traumatic Shock in the Aftertime, as well as the degree of psychosis triggered by the Pole Shift, which we have computed will be 43% of the population of survivors. The man of the house, the male leader of the group, is as likely to be insane as the others, yet he will likely be the one with the guns. We have cited death from injury or drowning and death from depression or starvation as factors in the 90% death rate of the population as a result of the Pole Shift and weeks following. Add to this death by gunshot in survival communities.

These deaths will not be as a result of assault from outside the group, but as a result of survivors shooting each other. The more insecure the leadership, the more prone to shooting other members for slights or insubordination. The insecure are also known for their touchy egos, and this is also a sign of those leaning to the Service-to-Self, an obsession with the self. We have long recommended that survival groups use techniques like keeping a low profile and distancing themselves from populated areas or migrant routes as protection, rather than a stock of guns. We would also recommend any good hearted survivors finding themselves in gun stocked camps to leave and seek community elsewhere.

Nessie Discovered

At the start of the ZetaTalk saga, the Zetas confirmed that Nessie was a left-over from the dinosaur era, and not alone. As depicted in Issue 342 of this newsletter, there are many dinosaurs still in existence, including T-Rex in Australia.

ZetaTalk Comment 8/15/1995: Nessie is no monster at all, but a gentle giant no more aggressive than Sea Cows. This species lives in numerous places around the globe, but has only come to attention in small inland lakes. Is this a fresh water creature? Yes, but one that can adapt to brackish waters. It became trapped in Loch Ness during a pole shift, where land routinely heaves up out of the sea and drops in other places below the waves. Thus trapped, the creature proceeded with its normal life, munching vegetation and fish and occasionally popping its head above the surface to sense if it's missing any munchies. Nessie is nearly blind, and relies on a sense of smell, which underwater is sensitive to chemicals in the water, but in the air catches small particles carried in the breeze. Could Nessie come out of the lake and lumber about? Hardly. This creature requires water to breath, having gills along its sides, and thus cannot bring more than its head out of the water.

That Nessie was likely a Plesiosaur is not a new concept, but not much more than the long neck and head have been captured on film. Now that has changed, with a satellite image of the entire body, mid-stroke and with flippers and body fully visible. Case closed.

So large that it can be seen from space, it is enough to send shockwaves through even the most cynical Nessie sceptic. This shadowy form measuring around 100ft long and seemingly with two giant flippers powering it through the waters of Loch Ness was photographed by a satellite.

ZetaTalk Confirmation 4/26/2014: There have been many sightings of Nessie, and some contested photos, but as with Bigfoot no corpse stands as proof. Where it is obvious that dinosaurs did not die out there are several reasons for the reluctance of skeptics to admit this. This fact challenges one of man’s pet theories that the dinosaurs all died out from an asteroid strike that plunged the globe into centuries of gloom. And this fact also presents the scary possibility that man might be faced with these giant predators again in his future.  Skeletons of the Plesiosaur have been found in England, so why would Nessie not be in Lock Ness, caught on a satellite image mid-stroke, the rear flippers tucked for a push while the front flippers reach forward? Nessie is a deep water creature, breathing via gills, and as Loch Ness is narrow and deep, death sinks the body to depths not visible to man in the murky depths. Will a Nessie ever be captured, netted like a fish or put into some kind of aquatic zoo? Being a shy creature, and sensitive to the noises that all of man’s boats or submarines make, it would disappear to the depths and be still, hiding, as all wildlife that is by nature prey rather than predator does.
